Torremolinos has the most concentrated nightlife offer on the Costa del Sol, from beach clubs at Los Álamos to the LGBTQ+ scene at La Nogalera. Summer 2026 adds Plaza Paraíso, the open-air festival at the bullring running concerts, theatre and parties from 25 July to 13 September.
In a single evening you can have dinner in La Carihuela with your feet in the sand, drinks at a Los Álamos beach club, catch an open-air show at the bullring and end up in La Nogalera — all walkable, or a short Cercanías train from Málaga city centre.
Sunset: the first plan of the day
Before dinner, the sunset is the moment to decide where the evening goes. Torremolinos has 7 km of beach and around 300 sunny days a year; in summer the sun sets between 21:30 and 21:45 depending on the month. Three recommended spots to catch it:
- Mirador del Castillo de Santa Clara, between El Bajondillo and La Carihuela. Full coastal panorama, no bars nearby — ideal for a quiet photo before the evening starts.
- Terraza de la Casa de los Navajas, a neo-Mudéjar palace from 1925 with views over Bajondillo beach. Free entry; officially listed as local heritage.
- Los Álamos beach bar strip, if you prefer to start the night with a beer already in hand. Here the DJ soundtrack starts early and the transition to the rest of the evening is effortless — you're already in the right zone.
If you're visiting and want to make the most of the day before the evening, the one-day Torremolinos guide maps it out hour by hour.
Where to have dinner before going out in Torremolinos
La Carihuela is the classic dinner district, particularly for its beach bar espetos (sardines grilled on cane skewers over charcoal) and fried fish with a table in the sand. Dinner typically runs 21:00 to 23:00 and you can walk down to the seafront promenade or up to La Nogalera afterwards without a taxi.
The Playamar and Los Álamos seafront strip is the better choice if you know the night will end in dancing. Many venues blend dinner, drinks and music without requiring you to move, with DJs from 21:00 and louder music from midnight.
For a quieter start, Calle San Miguel and Plaza de la Costa del Sol in the pedestrian centre have English pubs, tapas bars and terraces at a lower volume.
Open-air events at the bullring this summer
The historic Plaza de Toros de Torremolinos, unused for bullfights since 2015, becomes Plaza Paraíso this summer: an open-air festival with real grass, food trucks, bars and themed décor per event. The venue runs from 25 July to 13 September 2026, with three flagship early-evening parties and a wider programme of concerts and shows:
The after-beach party that has been filling Torremolinos for six summers: bingo rounds, tombola and a cheeky party atmosphere. Reserved tables and group deals available.
Event detailsHosted by Alonso Caparrós. A live music quiz show with two audience teams competing to songs from the 80s, 90s, 2000s and today.
Event detailsThe Argentine party that went viral across Spain: giant balloons, confetti and a set of Latin pop and reggaeton. The season closer at the bullring.
Event detailsThe programme also includes a Laura Gallego concert on 7 August, the Sigue la Luz show with Xenon Spain and Paca la Piraña on 13 August, the comedy Las Pilardos: Operación Marbella on 21 August, and the Little Italy Gastro Fest on 27 and 28 August. The full programme has all dates and tickets are on sale now.
What are the best nightlife areas in Torremolinos?
Torremolinos has four distinct nightlife zones:
Seafront promenade
Playamar and Los Álamos concentrate the beach clubs with DJ sets. A daytime vibe that grows louder as the evening falls. Draws a young crowd from Málaga city and abroad.
La Nogalera
The LGBTQ+ hub of the Costa del Sol, with venues that have been running since the 1990s. Festive, inclusive and unpretentious, with the highest density of bars per square metre in the city.
Town centre
Calle San Miguel and Plaza de la Costa del Sol: tapas, beer and conversation. Good base to start the evening before moving on to the louder areas.
Bullring — Plaza Paraíso
Open-air ticketed events from 25 July to 13 September 2026. The new addition to the Torremolinos summer calendar, with limited capacity per event.

A night without a club: quiet plans for couples and families
Not everyone comes to Torremolinos to dance. Three formats that work well for a more relaxed evening:
Seafront walk from El Bajondillo to La Carihuela. Four kilometres of illuminated promenade right on the sea, with terraces and ice cream parlours open past midnight. The classic formula: late dinner, digestive stroll.
Dinner with a show at Plaza Paraíso. The Little Italy Gastro Fest on 27 and 28 August turns the bullring into an Italian piazza with fresh pasta, cocktails and live music. A strong option for couples or calm group evenings, with free entry to the food area.
Cocktails on a rooftop or terrace. Calle Casablanca and the streets around La Nogalera have cocktail bars and small live-music venues for a night with no agenda or dancefloor.
When does the season start and end?
The high season for nightlife starts in late June with the opening of the beach clubs and runs through to mid-September. In 2026, Plaza Paraíso concentrates the open-air programme at the bullring from 25 July to 13 September, with Bresh as the closing night. The seafront and La Nogalera keep going all summer and well into autumn.
July and August are the busiest months. September is quieter, but the bullring programme runs until the 13th — a good window if you want atmosphere without the peak crowds.
Recommended formula: Dinner in La Carihuela or Los Álamos · A Plaza Paraíso event in the early evening · Decide on the spot whether to continue at the seafront or La Nogalera.
Remember: Plaza Paraíso events have limited capacity. Nights like Bresh and the Loco Bongo Saturdays tend to sell out before the day itself.
